VOS Discovery - Who We Are

We are a life science company specialized in organoid technology and advanced cell models. Our work supports researchers, pharmaceutical developers, biotechnology pioneers, and clinical innovators who aim to understand disease more precisely and develop treatments more safely. We believe that scientific progress should be both human-centered and ethically responsible. For this reason, we focus on creating research systems that reflect real human biology, without depending on unnecessary animal testing.

The Global Shift in Testing Models

Drug development and cosmetic safety testing are undergoing a major transition, that reflects a shared realization: human
biology cannot be accurately replicated by animals, and more relevant models are needed.

The U.S. FDA Modernization Act 2.0 (2022) removed the requirement that new drugs must be tested on animals before clinical trials. Researchers are now encouraged to use validated human based models such as organoids and organ on chip systems.
Animal testing in cosmetics is fully banned in the European Union, and several countries have adopted similar policies.

Why Organoids

Organoids are three-dimensional, stem cell–derived mini-tissues that recreate the architecture and function of human organs.
Unlike conventional flat cell cultures, organoids display complex cell-to-cell signaling and metabolism that are closer to living tissues.
Organoids are powerful for:
  • Disease modeling: Studying disease mechanisms at cellular and tissue levels
  • Drug development: Predicting drug response and toxicity with higher accuracy
  • Precision medicine: Testing treatment strategies using patient-derived cells, especially important in immuno-oncology context.
